It is important to be familiar with the plants growing around us. This is usually considered a weed and often pops up on its own in my garden at home in Minnesota. I called it "pigweed" for most of my life and maybe that is another name for it and maybe I was wrong. Anyway, when boiled it tastes a lot like spinach. The young leaves at the top are very light, almost white. Always do your own research before eating foraged food. It usually grows among other plants and that is why I chose a background that is a bit busy and suggests other species of plants.
