Artist's Description

The St. Louis River runs through Jay Cooke State Park on its way to Lake Superior. This spot is a little bit off the trail. There is a perfect chair-shaped rock with a ledge for my water cup and paint palette. I have often sat here over the years and painted this same spot. The shapes are always the same, but the colors and the way I interpret the scene are always different.
