The St. Louis River flows through Jay Cooke State Park in Northern Minnesota. The water forms an interesting shape here as it falls and then splashes over a large rock. This is one of my favorite places. Over the years I have returned to this spot many times to paint. Each painting is unique. The colors, the line style, the composition, and the textures change with the weather, the season, and my mood.
