A soft and pleasant surface that is cut away by a jigsaw. I was thinking of how water carves away at the land, like at the Grand Canyon. The layers go deep. The two pieces are part of the same thing but no longer fit together. I showed this to some friends who all saw it in their own way. Some saw tranquility, some saw an abyss, some saw pizza.
